Kérastase Blond Absolu: Everything You Need to Know
May 03, 2026
If you're blonde, highlighted, gray, or platinum, Kérastase Blond Absolu is the line designed for you. Here's the full breakdown of every product, how to choose, and how to use.
The Two Sub-Routines: Tone vs Repair
Blond Absolu actually contains two parallel systems:
- Tone-correcting products (Ultra-Violet line) for brass and yellow neutralization
- Repair products (Cicaextreme + Cicaflash + Cicanuit) for damaged blonde hair
Most blondes need a mix of both. Here's how to layer them.
For Brass-Prone Blondes
Use 2-3× per week:
- Bain Ultra-Violet — purple shampoo, neutralizes yellow in 1 wash
- Masque Ultra-Violet — purple mask for deeper toning
Use the rest of the time:
- Bain Lumière — gentle, hydrating, brightens blonde
- Cicaflash conditioner — repair-focused
For Damaged Blondes (Platinum, Bleached, Highlighted)
Lifting hair to blonde is brutal on the cortex. The repair side of Blond Absolu addresses this.
Daily:
- Bain Lumière + Cicaflash
- Once weekly: Masque Cicaextreme for deep cortex repair
Overnight (3 nights/week):
- Sérum Cicanuit on lengths and ends
For Bonus Shine
Blond Absolu Hyaluronic Acid Serum is a leave-in concentrate that adds glass-shine to blonde hair. Use on damp hair before blow-drying.
Heat Protection
Before any heat styling, layer Cicaplasme Thermique — heat shield + repair in one.
